Wow this week and actually that past couple months have FLOWN BYE! I can’t belive it’s almost April! Anyways I haven’t written an email in AGES so I’m going to attempt at writing a good email hahaha, but let me jump straight to the points and things that have happened!!

– We got put transfer news!! I’m going to La Ligua! It’s the furthest most north part of our mission! It’s a desert but also a gorgeous beach! I’m really really excited to go there! I leave tomorrow early in the morning! But anyways I’m super duper excited! Supposedly there’s a ton of opportunities for baptisms which is awesome!

– We found 14 new friends this past week which was sooo cool! I wanted to work really hard my last week here so we were able to get some new people here in Los Aromos which is fun!

– I get cat called just about every day here hahaha it’s so funny, just because I’m white and tall all of the girls are cat calling me constantly haha it’s funny, I’m always like no, but I do have a message about Jesus Christ haha

– I had my first Huma, or in chile an Humita! But anyways they are basically tamales wrapped in corn leafs and generally put underground to cook but inside is choclo or corn, meat, and all kinds of seasonings and onions, but they’re soooo good! I love it so much!

– I felt an earthquake the other day which was fun haha I basically woke up just shaking and then just was like ok that’s fun hahaha

– we had splits, or exchanges with the LZs which was a ton of fun! I went with this elder from Brazil and he taught me some Portuguese and I was able to talk to his family because it was his mom’s birthday! 

– I said goodbye to all of these members here in Los Aromos! It was pretty sad realizing that I could quite possibly never see them again! It was pretty sad! But the good news is, they basically all started following me on Facebook so I am still in contact!

– we had a homeless man run into the church building begging people for money and it was pretty crazy so we had to ask him to leave, but what’s crazy is he snuck into the church building when everyone left and we walked into the building to make a baptism invitation and he was sitting on the stage eating this crusty bread, and it scared us soooo bad! I was just like hey buddy we ended the church service and we don’t have anyone to keep an eye on you so we’re gonna have to ask you to leave, and he was like we’ll can I have money and I was like sorry I don’t have anything because I’m a missionary haha and he was like ok whatever and stormed out!

Well this is just about it for my week! Not a ton happened this past week but it was a good last week here in Los Aromos! But I’m very excited for La Ligua and for the fun ponchos and Huaso hats! But anyways this work us a blast and I love you guys and can’t wait to talk next week! Also if you want a good scripture look up Mosiah 2:41! Love yall! Nos vemos! Cuídense! Wennnnnnaaaa como estai mis amigos y familia! This past week went really fast! It was a lit of fun and crazy hahahah I’ll jump straight in to the points but, yes it was a good week!

– power outage across all of Chile! This power grid went out in La Cerena which us north of us!  This was pretty crazy! Our power, water, and other things were all out for almost the whole day and into the night! We were able to find matches and so we got this stove up and running and made some good soup, but yeah it was soooo hot that night because we couldn’t turn on a fan, but other than that it was good!also everyone was going crazy! The drivers are already crazy but you take away traffic lights and it was like dodging a bullet! 

– we had Zone Conference! This was so awesome! The spirit was really strong! I was able to learn a lot too from my president which was awesome! We also were able to get Pizza which was amazing!!!

– we met these 3 new people named, Joaquín, Joaquín, and Isidora! There so cool! They all came to church this Sunday which was awesome! All of them are super duper interested and it’s super cool!!

– My parents sent me a dog whistle, and it’s been my best friend ever since! I use it on every dog, and I finally feel like I have control now hahaha, as soon as a dog barks I turn it on and they run away! It’s soooo amazing! It’s a Christmas miracle! Anyways it’s the best! But some dogs it doesn’t effect too much, if I stand there holding it they can’t stand it but they have a higher tolerance to it! But yeah it’s the best!

– Birthday party of Jaimito!! This member named Jaime, also know as my best friend hahaha he had his birthday this past week! We were able to get together some members to celebrate with him at his home! He was so beyond excited!!

– I wrote a song for Jaime for his birthday and I was able to perform it for him and he got sooo excited as well haha, something about Jaime is he has a mental disability because he had a head injury and started getting epilepsy and now he has the brain of a toddler but he’s so kind! He is literally a celestial soul!

– I ate Bistec del pobre for the first time which is heavenly!!! It’s a huge plate of homemade French fries and on top is a stake, and then on top again is a basted egg and on top of that is grilled onions and then on top is ketchup and mayo! It’s sooo good! I was so happy!

– I tried Pap which is a drink here there’s Pap & Bilz they both are HORRENDOUS! Hahah they taste sooo bad but these Chileans love them! Idk why Pap is supposed to be papaya but it just taste like dookie hahaha

-millions of kids at our actividad del fútbol, I invited a bunch of these little gangster like kids in the street and they ended up coming, and it was actually a ton of fun! There was a lot of kids playing! We had probably between 15-25 kids show up which is like an insane amout of people for a church activity here in Chile! Especially this little Rama where weekly we barley get 20 people hahah but anyways it was so much fun!

Whelp that’s basically all that happened this last week! It was a ton of fun and there was a lot of fun adventures along the way haha! But anyways I love you guys and for a spiritual thought for those that actually read this, “6 And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.” This scripture is amazing because we need to trust in God more! Buenísimo! Esta semana pasada fue Buenísimo!!! Tuvimos cualquier milagros!!! Bueno, I’ll now speak in English haha, but this last week was awesome! It was full of miracles! Let me get straight to it with the points!

– Transfers! I stayed for my 4th transfer which is crazy! 6 months in the same sector is fun hahaha 😐, no but I love this sector its pretty fun haha

– it’s grape season right now, and they’re everywhere! They’re huge and juicy and to die for! As we’re walking down the street we just pick the grapes of the walls and they’re soooooo good!!! 

– all these members here are mad about Donald Trump, which is funny because litter it means nothing to them, they keep ranting about the fact that plastic straws are fine now, when this country is a thousand times dirtier than America! They’re worried about the straws in America and not the river of poop in the Tomas! Crazy hahaha

– we had to break out of a members house which was fun hahaha, this member locked the door to their gate and forgot about us, and so for 15-30 minutes we were trying everything to get the door open! It was quite the experience hahaha but it was fun! We ended up just jumping the fence hahaha if we didn’t I bet I’d still be there right now haha

– I’ve been buying a lot more food on preparation day to make better snacks hahaha, I got tons of avocados and have been making guacamole like every day which is amazing! Also a balsamic glaze BLT which is fire!! But yeah I’ve been upgrading in the kitchen!

– I wrote a new song that I love so much! It’s about Jesus which is awesome! Also God had been strengthing my gifts so much since I’ve been here! He’s always there for us!!!

– we’ve been having pretty bad lunches with members recently haha, but it’s OK, we’ll go over to the house and they’ll give us old like ancient bean soup and then for the main course it’ll be like a handful of lettuce and tomatoes and that’s it, it’s super sad because I can tell they can’t afford much so I’m super super grateful for the food! But still kinda sad, I’m tempted to just bring my avocados and make guacamole with it hahaha

– we just had some miracles with finding new people and activating old members which I’d awesome!!!

Well that’s basically it for my week! Not too much happened! But yeah I’m happy/sad ti be staying for 1 more transfer but it’s whatever we’ll just live it up here haha! Anyway I love yall and can’t wait to talk in a week! My scripture for the week is 2 Nephi 25:29, I love yall!!!

Wow this week went a little slower than the others haha, I felt like time was going soooo fast and then hit a wall haha but it is starting to speed up again hcih is nice! Anyways I had a great week filled with some fun adventures and stories, here’s a list of somethings!

– so we have a man that’s probably 45 years old that is always on fentenoyl and alcohol, because of this it’s makes this dude have schizophrenia like always, and so one day we’re just waiting at a bus stop and then hear noise coming from this little dog house and all the sudden Luis starts crowling out of it yelling and crying hahaha he was like a drunken sailor as he walked out and just started screaming on the top of his lungs!!! It was so funny and sad and interesting all at the same time, and then he ran up to me and was like jumping at me and it got weird pretty fast hahaha but yeah that’s Luis!

– we got transfers! Soooooo turns out I’m staying one more transfer here as a DL which is fun but at the same time I feel ready to leave haha, but anyways we have some people that are really progressing so hopefully they Caan be baptized!

– Amanda, our friend Amanda was baptizeddddd!!! Wahoo, it’s so fun! Her mom isn’t a member or anything so we were able to get in with the family and baptise here which was awesome! She’s a pioneer!

– I had to give a talk in church with less than 3 minutes to prepare, someone didn’t show up so the president looked at us and was like elders you’re giving the talk, and we were like fetch hahaha because first of this isn’t even my language haha and 2nd we had not a clue what to share so I was like ok elder let’s just testify of Jesus Christ and the restoration of our church! So that’s what we did, I gave the whole lesson of the restoration teaching the doctrine and testifying that our church isn’t just a church that worships Jesus Christ, this is the Church of Jesus Christ! So it was pretty fun haha I was able to give a 20 ish minute talk without any preparation! Gift of tongues and God!

– we had a nice undercooked meal haha, so we went over to our friend Jaimes house to eat lunch, and what happened haha we get there and the food was supposedly cooked an hr earlier but it looked so raw still, and it was a pork chop so I was like ok well what do we do, and my comp was like idk haha so I was like Jaime is it cool if we just use the stove real quick and he was like yeah go right ahead, and I cooked that bad boy up! But the sad part was, jaime didn’t want to heat up his, and he just ate it all, but it was completely raw! He was basically eating raw meat! Idk how but I would’ve gaged and thrown up!! But yeah that’s the story with Jaimito haha

– Lesson with a convinced person that believes in reincarnation, we literally for 30 minutes were proving this guy wrong that, that doesn’t even work with our progressing in this life, it gets rid of the whole purpose of the Atonement and everything, and so we were trying so hard but this guy was set in his beliefs and so we basically just said thanks for the lesson but we’re gonna go haha, but yeah kinda crazy guy!

Wow it has been ages since I’ve written in an email! I have been grinding out here and have forgotten to write an email! My week and frankly past transfer has been awesome! It was very fast, and I’ve learned a ton! Anyways let me jump to a few points!

– Idk if I mentioned this before but I always died by a dog! I had to fight one and I tried everything to get him away, and it came to the point I kicked it in the head so hard that he couldn’t fight anymore and just yelped running away! It was so scary!

– I ate rotten fish pie! Wow it was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten! It was 5 days old and got me and my comp sick for 3 days! It was terrible!!!

– we saw this guy running for the cops and ran right past us, then we saw a while group of cops driving past!!!

– we had spider leg water, ahh this is the worst thing ever! So we supposedly had a spire crawl into our water jug and it died and all its legs fell of into the water, we then look into pur water we’d been drinking and there were spider legs! It was soo gross! The spider was big too!!

– I drank out of a cup that had alcohol in it and it tasted TERRIBLE!!! I felt so gross after!

– a dog follows around the whole sector haha his name is Gertrute, well I named him that hahaha 

– I played the piano for my ward because nobody knows how, but it helped me a ton and now I can play while sight reading!

– only 22 people are in our branch! It’s so small!! That’s including the president and all the counselors! 

– we met this new girl named Sabina and she reminds me so much of my Grandma Mema! She is older and smells sooo good and her house is clean and it’s the best! Plus she wants to be baptized so it’s amazing!!

Well this was basically my week! It went fast just like every other week! Now I’m going to share some scriptures! 

Alma 36:3 And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day.

This scripture is applicable to everyone! Everyone has challenges and every to come to this earth will have challenges but it’s only through our savior Jesus Christs Atonement where we can be saved! If any of you are struggling right now that are reading this, just know you are loved and you are welcome! There is always room for everyone in the Kingdom of God! I love you all so much! I just want to testify of this church! It is the only church that has the priesthood authority and the only church with Prophets and Apostles! This is God’s church on the earth today! I love you all so much and can’t wait to talk in a week!!

Wow time is flying bye!!! I haven’t written an email in a little bit because time has been blinking by! Anyways my week!! My week was super good! Very fun and full of adventures every day! Let me get straight to the points!!

– I almost got killed by a dog, this dog started attacking me and then I ninja kicked it in the head as hard as I could and it ran away yelping! God definitely helped me because an elder went to the ER earlier because a dog took out a huge chunk of his thigh and ankle from a dog attack! So pretty scary but I was protected!

– we had some good lessons this past week and found a bunch of cool new people that want to progress! 

– we met this dog named Gertrude, he’s LEGENDARY there’s only been 2 cool dogs here Gertrude and little timmy, both of them I named if you couldn’t tell, but they’re our friends! Gertrude walks in the street with us and he protects us from the other dogs, he’s like an angel for us! He was walking with us one time and there were a bunch of mean dogs and he stared them down and the dogs walked away! So he’s my friend now which is cool!

– my shoes have died on me haha, all the dirt hills and walking made my shoes break completely!! 

– my Spanish is getting a lot better which makes me happy, I’m able to understand almost everything and have conversations which is extremely nice!!

– we only had 22 people at church which was pretty sad but it was still fun because I was able to play the piano for them because no one knows how to play or do anything musical haha but it’s fun!

– I ate some nice rotten fish pie which makes my stomach sick just thinking about it hahaha

– I also was given some juice out of a cup that served alcohol before and it tasted soooo bad because there was still alcohol in the cup and I couldn’t drink it hahaha

– People keep asking me and my comp if we’re Chilean because we’re so tan and we both speak Spanish and it’s super funny haha

Well this is about it for me week! It’s been a lot of fun! Between rotten food to fighting a dog, I think it’s been a pretty successful week haha! Well this week has been full of many many miracles! My scripture for the week is D&C 4:7 “Ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Amen.”

My invitation to everyone that’s reading this, is to pray, if you haven’t prayed in a little bit just start by a conversation and like President Holland said you will be able to know what to say after the pray starts! God yerns to hear from us, so all life’s challenges can be solved through the master! I love yall and can’t wait to talk in a week!

This week flew bye!!!! I can’t believe it’s already p-day!!! This week was fun and fill of miracles!!! I’ll jump straight to the highlights!!!

– I got my new companion! His names is Elder Walter’s and he’s from Canada! He’s really chill! The opposite of my crazy hyper personality hahaha but it’s very fun! He’s a good dude!

– I saw a dog get hit by a car and I looked back to see if the body was in the road and it disappeared, I’m still confused to this day haha

– We met a bunch of new people in teaching that all have awesome potential!

– My Spanish is getting much better! I can actually have full on conversations with members and new people, and I can basically understand 95% of everything being said which is super awesome!!! The gift of tongues is real!

– Cualquier watermelon!!! It’s watermelon season and so every member gives us an entire half of a watermelon and it is SOOOOOO GOOD!!! The watermelon is so good here!

– We had a fútbol activity and tons of little kids came! It was so much fun! We got a bunch of new little kids in teaching now!

That’s basically it from my week! It was a blast! Went fast because we are just working hard out here!! Anyways God is in the details of our lives we just need to look for him! I’ve noticed that a ton this last week! Also focusing on the positive changes everything! Love yall so much! Have an amazing week!!!
