JUNE 16, 2025 LA LIGUA, VALPARAISO (WEEK 11)

Wow this past week was filled with tons of miracles and fun experiences! I’ll jump straight into what we did!

– Elder Stevensen came to the mission! It was so beyond amazing! I felt the spirit soooo strong! He literally helped me so much with how to be a better missionary and deciple of Jesus Christ! But anyways it was a pretty fun day!

– After the conference I woke up to 2 guys pounding on the door at 1 am yelling come outside, and so me and my

comp got up and we checked who it was and it was the 2 owners of the pensión, they said what’s going on, and we’re like what? And he he continued to say it, and he then was like, “where’s the water coming from” and I was like what water, and we then looked back in our pension not realizing that we had walked through like an entire mountain of water! We then said “Oh no!” And we went to find the source, turns out it was just our laundry machine but when then for the next couple hours we spent mopping the water out! So that was hectic!

After those 2 experiences there’s not much more to talk about haha. We did get transfers which is sweet! I’m staying her with a Latino which will be fun! He’ll help my accent a ton! I’m excited! But anyways that’s about it! I love you guys and can’t wait to talk in a week! Also a good chapter to read is D&C 84! Love yall!!

JUNE 2, 2025 LA LIGUA, VALPARAISO (WEEK 9)

Wenna familia cómo estamos??? Bueno, this past week was fast and extremely fun! I’ll just get straight to it with the points from last week!!

– Well the beginning half of me week wasn’t too special haha just hung out and played some basketball! I actually really love basketball, especially because I’m like 7 feet taller than these chileans so I just flick the ball in the net haha

– Argentina!! Ok this was awesome! So get a text Sunday night that I’m going to Argentina, and I was like ok weirs but awesome, and that I’m going in a group so that we could get my visa! Because you have to leave Chile so that you can enter in legally, and so I just spent some time in Argentina at the temple which was amazing! I also got to get some super good Pizza and Alfejores! But anyways it was a blast! I also stayed in a hotel so I was able to have a real bed and a real shower! It was so incredible! We also had a buffet for breakfast and for dinner we bought these loaded fries with pulled beef on top! It was soooo good! But anyways it was an amazing experience and I’ll miss Argentina for a little haha!

– Homless guy in church haha, Bueno so we’re just chilling in Sunday school and all the sudden some guy walks in with what looks like his whole house haha, he then pops a seat behind me and just starts mumbling, it sound like he was like casting a spell hahah, but anyways he just kept raising his hand to share messages and what he had to share was always super valid, just very random haha because he actually was homeless but like had such good Bible and doctrine knowledge, we thought he was a member backpacking for a little until he started kinda going crazy hahaha but anyways it was funny!

– it’s been SOOO COLD!! We hit a cold front and now it’s getting super cold at nights! I started bringing my coat which has helped me stay warm! 🥶🥶🥶

Anyways, that’s about it for my week! It was a pretty chill and fast week! But I love you guys so much and can’t wait to talk to you guys in week! Also a good Chapter to study is Ether 12! Love yall! Que le vaya super bien po!

MAY 5, 2025 LA LIGUA, VALPARAISO (WEEK 5)

Hola familia! Cómo estái? Tuvimos cualquier milagros esta semana pasada!!! Toy muy emocianao pa compartir mi semana con you cool guys!

– My past week started off with some nice quail dinner that still had some feathers on it in some parts, and it also was caught that day by the husband of this woman that cooked for us! But it was surprisingly grubby! Or in better word it tasted quite good!

– We then had intercambios o en mejor dicho, exchanges! We found people which was lit!

– There was a 7.5 earthquake in the south that caused a Tsunami!

– We also had a 5.3 Earthquake last night that shook our whole house haha it might’ve been bigger but we’re just kinda thinking that it was that number of shakage!

– We walked out to an abandoned airport in the middle of the mountains to find out that a member point with 2 kids that aren’t baptized, do not live there! We did some ninjago maneuvering to shimmy our way over to the national geographic hub, also known as an airport! It was cool seeing an abandoned airport! We then turned around and went back! On our way back I found a Rincón spider! They’re so creepy!!!

– We had an amazing baptism of Clemente! We got a reference from his grandma and within 5 minutes of receiving it, we passed by his house and put a baptismal date with him which was awesome!

– us 4 missionaries sung, we’ll bring the world his truth at the baptism which was pretty hype! I was directing them Cuz they didn’t know too much hahaha

– I’ve been learning a ton more flite which was been super awesome!!! It’s a form of Spanish here!

Whelp this is about it for this week! Not a ton happened but it was still a blast! For a spiritual thought I’d love to share this scripture that always helps us when we are struggling! Ether 12:27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.” I love this verse so much because I feel like my whole mission I’ve just beenhaving all my weaknesses become shown to me! But over time I’ve been able to see that God is just changing my life for the better! But I love yall so much and can’t wait to talk next week! Chao chao!!

APRIL 21 , 2025 LA LIGUA, VALPARAISO (WEEK 4)

Wennna familia y amigos, cómo estamos?? This past week was amazing and filled with miracles!!! So I will just get straight to it!!

Ok so first this past Tuesday we had a trip to Zapallar which is a beach town very far away, and we had to take a bus all the way there and a colectivo or taxi back home! We were like this’ll be super easy! Well we began our journey there and once we got there the family that we were going to visit, turns out lives in another sector and we can’t go visit them! So after that happened were like “shoot we gotta go back before our activity” it starts at 7:30. So we ran back to the bus stop and waited, and waited, and waited, and WAITED! Literally 2 hours turned to 4 hours because we were in Papudo now this other beach town and couldn’t get on a bus or a taxi! It was a huge mess and ruined our whole day! So that made us pretty sad and made us want to work even harder the next couple days! So that happened Tuesday and keep it in mind for the next part of the story! So flash back to Friday we had plans to go to another part of our sector called Pullally which is about 15-30 minutes outside of our central sector called La Ligua. Well we looked down at our clock after being in an amazing lesson with a friend and teaching and we realize “FETCH, we should’ve already been in Pullally an hour ago” so I tell my comp “let’s just leave it and go work somewhere else, because what would happen if we get stuck in Pullally like we did in Papudo” and my comp was like “no we gotta go because I feel prompted we need to go” so after a little bit of an argument we found ourselves on our knees praying to God to ask us where we should go. Well in the prayer I basically just said like “God if there’s a taxi we know we should go and if not, well we now know we don’t need to go”, and so after we prayed we left the apartment where we were praying and went to the taxi stop to see if there’s a bus. So we cross the Plaza and the street and we see nothing, so we’re like “whelp there’s our answer” and we just keep walking. But right as we cross the street a taxi flies around the corner as fast as a grandma making biscuits and gravy, and opens the door and says, ” hey where are you headed, and we said confused “umm Pullally” and he’s like “that’s where I’m headed, get in!” And I look at my comp like “what in the miracle just happened!” And so we continued on our journey, but keep in mind it’s like 8:00 at night and the taxis stop running after 6, so this is a miracle! Also we don’t have a way of getting back home haha but we decided to focus on 1 problem at a time haha. So we’re on this taxi and all the sudden the driver leans to me and says, “why are you guys here” and I explained that were missionaries and share messages of Jesus Christ! And then guy was like “seriously?! I’ve been kinda trying to find you guys because 5 years ago my best friend was getting lessons by you guys and I really enjoyed it,  but couldn’t find you guys again, and we’re like AWESOME!! We then ended up sharing all of the restauración with him and he ended up giving us his number and telling us to visit him later!! So that was miracle 1! So we get to the house that we randomly chose and we’re like “ok whelp every light I’d off in the whole house hahah” but we had faith that they would be home so we hit them with the Chilean “ALOOO” and 2 alooos later this old member walks out and is like “what are you guys doing here at this hour”, and we’re like “do you really want to know haha” and she’s like “yeah” and I said, “because God clearly wants us to be here hahha” and she’s like “ok well come on in”, and we walk in and there was a perfect Once or like a tea time set up at there table with all this homemade jam and bread and the fireplace was running and it was just PERFECT! So we sit down at there table with our friend in teaching (Nelly), her sister (Jane), and her husband (George). So we ask like this is just crazy that you had this all planned and she’s like we felt we should do an Once you guys entered right on time! So HUGE MIRACLES!! After eating and having a great conversation we end up sharing a video, and before sharing this video, our goal was to put our friend on date to be baptized but every time we’ve asked she said no, and so we had faith because God brought us to this house! So during the video I hear a whisper from George across the room to Nelly saying, “you know you can only receive this perfect of a body and enter into the kingdom of God, only by getting baptized” and she was like “really?” And so that’s when I was like YESSS!! So then after we shared the video, we started talking about Baptism and we invited her probably 6 times haha but after the 6th time she accepted!! But anyways just was a huge miracle filled day! But then the last miracle was, I said “this was awesome, but how are we going to get back haha” and the girl was like “oh no! Yeah the taxis syop working  after 6” and I was like “Oh no!” So then the girl said “Oh actually we have an extra car we can see if we can just drive you back home” and after a couple minutes we got in this super nice truck and made it home!

So that miracle made our entire week! We could’ve just decided not to go out of fear but like taxi driver was like “how are you going to get home, are you crazy?! And I said “no were faithful”! But anyways just follow God’s impressions and you’ll have soo many miracles! But anyways that was my week! Sorry it was a longer one but we’ll talk next week!!

APRIL 14 , 2025 LA LIGUA, VALPARAISO (WEEK 3)

Wennnaaa familia cómo estaiiii loco!!!

Wow these weeks really are flying bye! It’s been an amazing week and actually past month because I haven’t written in my email in forever! But let me jump to some fun points that happened!!

– I had the best mango of my life!

– We got stuck in Papudo (beach town) for hours!!!! Literally we tried everything to leave and we couldn’t so I just decided fine let’s start walking, we ended up walking for an hour and the sidewalk ended! We were literally at a dead end! But after walk all the way back we found out there was a bus leaving at 6:45, so we went and tried it out and NOPE, this bus only goes to Santiago! Whelp we were like wow we really are stuck here, we might as well just try doing contacts or nock doors hahah and so we tried everything and nothing was working! So we just kept praying and finally an hour later, at 7:45 we left the city!

– we had Zone Conference!!! Because we’re one of the farthest away sectors we literally spent all day in viña doing interviews and then we had to go back which was an all day thing!

– we ate a goated lunch at our Stake presidente house! It was sooo good!! I also was freestyling a song with their son, he is studying music at Santiago and I was showing him how to write a song and stuff, and wejust started freestyling which was so fun!!!

This is basically it! Not too much happened this past week, but I’m just living it up here in La Ligua! We have over 4 baptisms next week which will be super awesome!! God is in the details of our lives!!!! I love yall so much! Can’t wait to talk next week!!! Les quiero arto! Nos vemos más adelante!!! Chaoito!!

MARCH 31 , 2025 LA LIGUA, VALPARAISO (WEEK 1)

Hola mi familia y mis amigos! This past week flewww bye!! I got to my new sector and am now living it up here! It’s very what we call in Spanish “Campo” here which just means like very rural! The people are soooo sweet and kind! And very humble! We see more horses than cars in some sectors haha! But overall not too much happened other than just getting here! But I’ll write some points that happened!

– 3 and a half hour bus ride to La Ligua! This bus ride was torture haha because the beginning 1:45 was me standing with a million bags while everyone looked at me like I was a giraffe that escaped the zoo hahaha but after the 3 hours we made it!

– we found over 14 people in less than 2 days! This was awesome! My personality really connects with thsse people here!

– huge pension! This pension here is like 6X bigger than my last pension which is sooo nice!!

– Big rain storm! There was a pretty big rainstorm that came through which made huge lakes in the ground!

– The best hot chocolate that I have ever had! We did this service project for this old lady that lives in the middle of nowhere, and afterwards she made us this homemade bread sandwiches with homemade hot chocolate! It was INCREDIBLE!!

This is basically it, but other than that I had an amazing week! It’s been a ton of fun getting to know new people and a new sector! But yeah I love you guys and can’t wait to talk next week! Also a good scripture this week is Mosiah 4:9!!! Love yall!
