Hey fam what up?! This week was SOOOOOO good! It was such a party!!! I talk about it a lot in the recording but it was a blast!!! Wednesday was such a blast!!!!!!!!!!! I’m sooooo happpy!!!!! hard work pays offff!!!!!!! Best of all we had two baptisms, and I got to see you all!!! It was so awesome! This mission is so legit!

Fr David went out and bought himself 3 white shirts and ties. I seriously was so touched to see his willingness to be a member of this church he is going to be an amazing missionary!!! He’s an 18 yr old dude that is the coolest kid!!!! There’s no question this family will be close to me forever!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s so cool cuz their aunt Sr Sara was the convert of Elder Roberts in the other mission so its cool he baptised her and I baptised the rest of her family!!!

We are gonna go back because we told them to prepare some people that we can teach so we will see what happens!!! The cool thing is now Fr David can in the future baptise his sister and his dad which will be sooo awesome!!! I hope I can see it happen!!!! Everyone we see we ask if they know someone who we can teach! He is preparing now for his mission already! He will leave in a year! His aunt Sr Sara is preparing to serve now too! Such a great family!!!! Those two little kids with those christmas hats are in that fam too there names are Yannick and Michael.

The plan is to baptize the whole family!! Those two little kids are too little but his dad and his sister should be baptised! We are gonna keep working on them!!! It was a huge blessing to have this baptism before the end of the year! I will remember this forever!!!! Things are great!! Maman Audette came to church yesterday too!! That lady is psycho hahahahahahahaha! She will hopefully get baptised!!! One day she will change! There is also these others we have been teaching named Sr Sarah and Sr Tabitha. They have been kinda calacala but its cuz of the parties and stuff after its all done it’ll be easier to see other investigators!!! We have like 3 new investigators who came to church yesterday. Two that members invited which is a huge blessing we go from one batch of investigators to the next it is so amazing to see how the lord has been blessing me! I will be so sad to leave this place it has been such a party!!!

Christmas eve and Christmas! Ran into a little friend!!!! his comp is the guy that would email me all those questions at the beginning of my mission hahahah dope to see him in person he was a cool guy!!! and of course was so dope to see ologundudu!!!! My chrismas suit! mcdougal and i got them done! then got to chill with mercer he came to our apt after the sports on wednesday to change and shower before the movie! thats a nice peach cobbler elder taylor made it was sooo goood!!! The nice lunch we had before the movie and then the cinéma! i sat with elder bateman the guy to my right in the photo he’s such a stud we were having such a good time!!!!! Me and my hommie elder kanza he’s my zl and he is the biggest stud!!!! more pics of the cinéma. Ma famille!!!!!!!!!

Comment allez-vous?!salut mon frère!!!!c’est comment?? ce n’est pas grave mon frère ne t’inquiète pas!! we are going to have a giant tournament avec tout la mission et après nous allons partir au cinéma pour regarder un film!!!!!!  He’s taking us to see Aguaman! So dope, huh?!

After playing sports we will have a giant feast!! so dope huh!!!!!!!!!! I’m soooo pumped!!!!!

This mission is so hard, but so dope man!!!!! Our mission president is a beast!!! I’m feeling good. I’m getting better slowly hahaha the giant rain storms don’t help hahaha What happens is it rains like crazy hard and then gets super hot and evaporates all the shiz and crap on the ground into the air so it makes you sick hahahahah but I’m doing lots better it’s just been my allergies!!! This mission goes down in history as THE DOPEST MISSION!!!!!!! I hope Ben gets called here bro then we can work together hahaha that would be SICK!!!!! President is so awesome.

He said he will get my 5c iPhone from the other mission for me. Elder Austin has it with him. He was gonna give it to me but then he said that I should get permission from president, so what Im gonna do is just leave it at the bureau and Christmas and Mother’s Day I can come to the bureau and use it!!! He’s such a hommie!!!! And, mom, don’t you worry ben will get sent to some place even crazier than Africa hahahahahaha!!!

It’s a huge blessing it doesn’t feel like Christmas here!!!!!! I’d die if it felt like Christmas!!! For us we just get an extra party day and I get to see you what more could I ask for hahahaha! I think if it snowed here President would let me go snowboarding. Hahaha!

Ma famille formidable!!!!!!!!!!

I’m doing great!  My comp is doing better. He’s way more chill! I think the mission just stresses him out!!!  Transfers were this last week but I didn’t get transferred!  There were tons of changes!  They were great!  Lots of new ZLs hahah President got rid of all the crap!  I’m the only American in the apartment again.  I have three other Congolis.  Should be interesting.  They just talk to each other in their native language.  Kinda sucks.  Most of the ZLs are Americans, which is super cool!  They’re awesome!  My ZLs are Elder Kanza that stud I speak English with all the time and then this other lil  dude from Benin. He’s a hommie hahaha I think I’m gonna talk to pres to see if i can use my iPhone to FaceTime you at the bureau.  We had a really funny experience with mama. hahha It was awesome how my comp just totally jumped in and hooked me up! It was awesome!!! I feel a little better, but I still have a cold and am really stuffy.  You’ll hear in the recording.  I think it’s the stupid flu shot they gave all of us.  Like everyone in the mission is sick right now!!!  I don’t know why they gave that to us!  It made us all sick!!  Pray I feel better, and can you pray that fr moise and junior will accept to be baptized and maman audette and that we can set a date for sr tabitha and that we can get fr hamed o get to church with his friends and that all our others will progress and fr parfait that he will come to church.  Well have an awesome week.  I love you all!

Hey Fam,

This week was ok.  I finally gave you a recording though so that should make you happy.  Hahaha  My comp is being a baby.  He keeps running to this other Congoli ZL telling him I don’t train him.  Bottom line is we are working so hard I don’t alway have time to train him.  I’m training him with all the missionary work we’re doing.  Haha.  This week I got some dope shirts and made some cool designs on my cell phone.  It was pretty cool.  Its been a humbling week with my comp that’s for sure.  Just tough.  I have to just love him I know.  It’s just really hard to love Congolis sometimes.  They’re super prideful people and I get the same way sometimes.  Anyways, it was a tough week, but we got through it.  Next week will be better. I’m super excited to be able to see you all in a few weeks!  Can’t believe it’s Christmas already.  We had a wonderful time with the Mission President at our ALL Mission Conference.  He pulled all the Americans aside and told us how much he loved us and that the other missionaries need help with obedience and we need help with forgiveness.  He’s like Americans are my favorite keep being awesome hahahaha!  It was great!  Well enjoy the recording.  Have an awesome week!  I love you so much!

What up fam? happy thanksgiving!!!!!🦃

This week was great!!! So the beginning of the week our zone leader stayed the night with us cuz his comp was sick at the hospital so we went out to secteur with him Tuesday. It was great we finally got to teach fr parfait again so that was great!! The spirit was so strong it was awesome!!!! You could tell he could feel it too!!! Then after that we went to find our other people we had meetings with but sadly they weren’t there. Wednesday was good. That was the great lesson with maman audette!!!! Then after we went to teach fr moise and that was when he told us he wasn’t ready for his baptism and stuff so that was sad. He has relieved like all the lessons he just has lots of doubts and like Sunday we went to get him from his house but he was busy cleaning his house! I think with time he will come around! We also had a great lesson with this kid we have been teaching named fr emmanuel. He’s a good kid! He is calacala a little though hahahaha! Thursday we went to teach fr emmanuel but he just wanted to sleep hahahaha We then went and taught fr hamed so that was good cuz it has been a while since we have seen him. He still is calacala too hahahaha! Then Friday we had this conference with the whole mission with Elder and Sister Blackwell who are the health people here in east Africa They’re cool. They were at the mtc when I was there so it was cool to see them again!!! Super nice people!!  Then Saturday we had the baptismal service in the morning that was good! After we had a great lesson with mama. She was just going off how girls that put the yarn in their hair and the wigs and stuff don’t follow the commandments and all this weird crap so I stopped her and got her back on track with our lesson and then I just went off baring my testimony to her and the spirit was so strong it was like I was just nailing her with power hahaha I felt it so strong like stronger than any moment in my mission, and then after that I pointed it out to mama and told her how you can you feel the spirit and it was so awesome!!! She just kinda backed down and was like just give me more time to pray and think hahahaha and then Sunday she was sick so she didn’t come to church sadly!  We had fr junior come to church cuz we went to get him fr cedrique fr moise and fr yoan but they were all busy except for fr junior and then this new member brought her sister to church so that was great!!!!! so we finally had more than 0 people come to church hahahahahahahaha!  Well that was my week.  Pretty awesome missionary work going on in my area now.  It’s super hard, but we’re working really hard and the Lord is blessing us!  Have an awesome week!!

Hey Family, Have an awesome thanksgiving eat lots of turkey for me!!!!!! Also this morning we taught maman audette that crazy momma cuz now she is ACTUALLY in our secteur hahah before she was in the zone leaders secteur, but they didn’t care.  Now she’s in that part of my secteur so we have been visiting her, but anyways it was an amazing lesson this morning the spirit was so strong and she accepted the reality of the restoration for the first time every time we go she never wants to talk (the word of God) because she says she already knows it all and that she is a missionary like us but today she totally humbled herself cuz Monday night she came to our apartment to drop off food again and I told her just super firmly that mama we are coming tomorrow to teach you no more eating we have a message that is important and you need to listen to us to receive your own answer! I also told her that we have a baptism service each Saturday and that this Saturday she is going to be baptized and that Wednesday morning we will come talk to you about it. After giving her a day we went and taught her this morning and it so incredible she said okay I will get baptized in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I see the importance of the gift of the Holy Ghost, but you have to give me time to think about it. We invited her to come see the baptismal service we have this Saturday and she accepted so yeah pray she will accept the baptism and that this next week or so we can baptize her!!!!! Just a short little story for ya hahahahahah love you guys sooooo much have a killer week!!!!!! 😘😘😘😘🦃

Hey fam what up?

It’s been a good week.  I got pretty discouraged yesterday seeing 0 investigators at church, but the Lord totally just came to my aide and I felt so good! It was like I could just feel him telling me this is all in his plan and it is his way of really teaching me to have patience that has how these past few months have been it has been a great teaching moment of my mission for sure!!  The mission is so much like hills on my XC race.  At first it’s so hard but after some time you become a pro at climbing them.  By the end I was just like how it will be with the mish! I will be so sad the day I leave but so ready to go home hahahaha!  Attitude is key in the mission man I have come to see the really power of positive thinking!  Slowly this secteur will start coming around I just know it!  Its the Lord’s guidance this last week we found 10 new people we are just talking to everyone and doing what you said Dad and then we just weed out the bad ones!  The next missionaries that come here will be happy cuz they will be baptizing a lot.  Hahaha  This has happened my whole mission.  I work super hard and the next people that come reep the rewards of it hahahahahaha I’ve come to see that this is really the Lord’s work man like it doesn’t matter about baptisms.  It is obedience and doing your best to make the secteur better than the way you found it!  We’re just focusing right now on the ones that are progressing.  Ben wait, I can’t believe you are submitting your papers in six months.  I need to see you!  I will die coming home and not finding you hahahahahaha  Geeeez you’re gonna kill me kid!  I know he’s so ready but I just can’t wait another 3 yrs to see him man hahahahaha  Give it 3 yrs and it will be like it was just yesterday hahahaha Can you believe that Elder died last week?  He was my new companion’s companion in the MTC.  He was only in the mission for 10 days.  They don’t know what happened to him.  He just woke up and wasn’t breathing right and then died in his trainers arms on the way to the hospital.  They had to sit with his dead body for an hour until they could get the people to come and take it to the morgue hahahaha Those three missionaries that were with him are freakling studs. Man I have so much respect for them!  One of them is like my best buddy he’s a great guy from Madagascar!  Just so sad man!  Also, his family aren’t members either. I hope they don’t hate the church for the rest of their lives.  I think it’ll be good.  President will take care of it.  He already called them and talked with them, so I think it is good!  It’s so sad, so please pray for his family.  Well I’m gonna go.  I love you guys sooo much have an awesome day and a great week!!!!

What up fam?!

This week has been a great testimony builder for me for sure!!! I’m doing great!!!  Alban gave me a blessing! It was great!  He told me that I have a big work here in this secteur and that I need to work hard to find the people that need the gospel in their lives at this time and that I need to be a light to the missionaries around me and help them to see that obedience isn’t a bad thing!  He’s awesome!!!  I love you mommy!! You will be taken care of during your surgery!! Grandpa is gonna be right by you!!! He can leave me for a day! 😘

You need his strength more tomorrow than I do!  I got a new companion I’m training from the Congo.  He only speaks French, which I love.  He’s super humble and a great guy.  I’m going to enjoy training him!  So we have a few investigators.  We just have fr parfait, fr ahamed, and fr moise as our investigators, but we are gonna keep looking for more! Pray that fr moise will get baptised the 24th of this month and that we can set a day for fr parfait and that fr sedrick, his friend will come to church so he can be baptised the same day as fr moise and that we can just find more people to teach and stuff! Also, pray fr ahmed will come to church to and that we can set a date for him too!  This week we are gonna work super hard!  Have an awesome week!

Hey guys!!!!!!!!!

I may have to end early today to go get my new companion.  I will be training this transfer.  He’s coming to our apartment soon.  I’m super excited because I know this is what I need right now.  The Lord is right by my side helping me every step of the way.  I know Grandpa is helping me too!  I can just feel him!! It was so awesome to see Alban. He totally surprised me! It was great!  This transfer is going to be the best.  The trouble Elders are leaving, so I’m way excited!  I can’t believe next week I will hit my year mark.  Where has the time gone?!  I don’t know how the second can go any faster than the first because it went so fast!!  This week was so good!  I was a lot more obedient and we worked super hard! It felt great hahaha!  That sickness killed me.  It made me really lazy because I just didn’t feel good.  I feel great now and with my new greenie I’m going to work so hard!  Satan can try his best to tear me down but he won’t win!!!!! This next transfer is gonna be a kick to his face hahahahaha!  I’m going to be in a new area with a new companion, so it’s going to be tough but I know we will do good.  I’m a little bummed because I’m gonna miss my last ward. My bishop was in the bishopric with president before he became president which is cool. He was a cool guy!  I know it will be great!  I love you guys so much!  Have an awesome week!  Can’t wait to tell you about my greenie next week.

Hey fam!!!!! Sorry I was out so fast last week these dudes came into the cyber that were way drunk lol so we got outta there way quick!  Hahaha . Dad you are so right! You hit a year and you’re dead hahaha! It’s so much like my XC races. That fight wasn’t easy and I was never back to were I was but it was so worth it because I became who the Lord needed me to be! Fighting back from that tumor and becoming the XC captain prepared me more than anything for this mission.  You asked me to share some spiritual experiences.  I’d share them if I had more hahaha these people aren’t super spiritual.  That said, we had a cool lesson with our recent convert fr anicet where he had an encounter with a person from a different church and he had all these questions and scriptures they gave him. I was just sitting there like frick like I have no clue how to answer these questions and so I just said a small prayer in my heart and it was amazing because me and my comp were just led to find different scriptures that I had never read or even marked before.  Each of them answered the questions perfectly and proved that what they were saying was false.  Then I used the Book of Mormon!  It was incredible the clarity that comes from that book. Our investigator then bore testimony of the truthfulness of the book and the spirit was so strong man!! It was so awesome!!! We are still workin hard and looking to find those white and ready to be harvested!!!  It was a little tough this week because we had one day of 9 cancelations but we just kept searching and searching and finally ended the day with a lesson! Mollo mollo hahaha small small its not a high baptizing secteur but we are working towards the marriage of a few couples fr vahoé and his wife who doesn’t like our church. Then fr amani whose a great guy and his wife doesn’t want to marry him cuz he doesn’t make a lot of money, but they have kids and stuff so we have been trying to help them! Then we got sr diane and her husband who is already a member. I love their family!! So please pray we can get them married and that we can get fr amani’s wife to come to church and stuff and that she will accept the marriage.  Then pray for fr vahoé’s wife cuz she always goes to the back room when we come to teach so pray we can find her at the house and that we can convince her of the truthfulness of our gospel! Aside from that we just have a few investigators that are just cala cala also pray that we can start teaching fr anicet’s family!!! Oh and also sr roland hahaha I think thats it hahah! District Leader is good. I don’t do much since it is 4 of us and the zone leaders just do everything. Basically my job is to conduct the district meetings and stuff and to keep track of the key indicators for every week. Pretty easy hahha! For your missionary class the best thing they can do to prepare is discover their testimony of the Book of Mormon and of the Bible and just study and really know the scriptures. In the scriptures that can answer the questions you can encounter on the mission. They just sent us a 100 question list of questions that the Book of Mormon has answers to and it is our job to find these scriptures so heck give it to those kids and then like every week you can go over like 5 or so and just discuss what you have each learned personally and the scriptures you’ve found! I’ll send you the email! Well I love you sooo much man have a killer week!!!!! love you!!!
