Man this week went by so fast! It was good, but it sure went fast. The upload is taking forever. I sure hope you get to see my pics. They’re great! It stopped raining so the weather is good now. So I’m letting my hair grow out again. I miss my hair. Haha! We also didn’t get our baptism because his dad wouldn’t let him get baptized cuz of his comportements. Not sure what that means in English. Haha. I just looked it up. It means behavior. His behavior was bad so he couldn’t get baptized. 🙁 Aunt Kersten sent me a great email with an awesome talk! It was great! I’m glad you like me speaking Noushi. Haha It’s like pigeon French, but if I speak it it’ll screw up my French. I love speaking French!! I will speak more Noushi after a year cuz i gotta master French first or at least do my best. I can too master it lolol Its soooo tough!!! Wait until you see my Jimmer jersey!! My comp saw another one so he went to buy it today so now we match hahahah its dope!!!! It was just in some hut this dude had jerseys hung up and one was Jimmer’s! So cool huh! All the way in Africa! Haha My comp is in love with BYU. He watched like all their games. I’m going to burger king for my birthday and Sorensen is gonna meet us there!! I’m so stoked!!! Best birthday gift ever!! I’m trying to get our whole zone to go hahaha! I’m gonna just use my card and load up on food for my birthday! Hope that’s ok! I also see a bunch of Dimarious Thomas jerseys here and I’m just like man I miss that sucker! hahahaha Elder Sorensen is gonna apply to BYU, and I bet he will get accepted way easy. I also talked about going to UVU with him so idk or provo. Honestly I don’t even know all I know is him and I are going to college together hahahahahaha! I absolutely love him! He’s become my best friend! I love these missionaries I serve with…we’re all brothers! Its really hard where we are right now because our area is an hour away from our apartment. We talk to as many people as we can!!! We had a super cool conversation with our cab driver just yesterday, and I just remembered it was super cool! We all wanted to do something fun today, but the ZLs called this morning and asked us all to clean our apartments. Ours is already immaculate so who knows what we’ll end up doing. Oh well, I came on my mission to work not play. haha! Oh I keep forgetting to tell you that I still suck at using my mosquito net because I got an allergic reaction to the chemicals in it so I haven’t been using it. But I am a master rice cooker now hahahahaha! I just wish we had more investigators. We’re working hard but we don’t have many. Pray we find more! Okay well I gotta go because time is up. He was like okay I’m gonna do something crazy then he just got up on the beds it was so funny! He’s awesome! I love him. He’s had a really hard life, but he’s a great guy. Man, I’m so tired from sports this morning!!! It was super fun. We all got together as a zone and played soccer. I’m getting really good! haha . Earlier today I wrestled another missionary who was a huge Polynesian and put him on his butt. It was dope!!! Everyone went nuts hahahha! It was super funny. We haven’t been able to much work this week. We don’t get a lot of time in the secteur because it’s so far away. We do have a baptism lined up this Saturday. He’s this cute 14 year old. He’s a stud!!! Pray it goes through! Also pray we can find more investigators to teach that come to church lololol! My comp’s first trainer he had for only a few weeks because he wasn’t being obedient so the President gave him to me to train. He would go to the cyber for like 10 hrs at a time. Crazy, right? This mission is so different than any other mission in the world! Its tough, but I love it man!!! Never a dull moment. It’s all good. I really do love this place. The Lord has helped me a ton. I used to be such a negative person!!! I now see good in everything no matter what happens. I forgot to tell you the kid with the glasses is Elder Duncan he is my district leader and then I have some with me and Elder Morrelll and my comp and also with my new zone leader elder Motshikana. I love these guys. It’s the first time I’ve been in an apartment with such spiritual missionaries. It’s the best! Well family, have an awesome week! I’ll keep praying for all of you! My week was awesome!!! hahaha It’s great here but lots of work especially with a prideful greenie! hahaha He is actually super great. I love the dude so much!!! I have come to see how I was when I first started my mission no wonder my comp hated me lolololol! He is such a cool guy! I love my comp so much he speaks so many languages its soooo cool! Mom, yours and Josh’s hand written letters made me cry. I have some really great pictures of my new comp, but my computer isn’t working! Computers in Africa!?!? Oh well.

I’m super stoked because our new apartment we’re moving into has hot water and AC!!! We’re in a temporary apartment that’s like an hour from the secteur, so it’s super tough right now. We can’t leave until about 1 then we have to be back at the office about 5, so it’s a little crazy. It’ll get better when we move to the new apartment this week! We leave so late because we have to get everything done for the day in the morning. When we live near the apartment we will have a more normal schedule. The computer is just not working today, so I can’t upload these photos. I love my apartment right now! It’s the first time everyone has been super spiritual! We have two greenies. It’s awesome. The other greenie is American. He’s a stud. I love it!!! My comp basically speaks just like the Ivorians because he grew up here. It’s awesome. He’s a great guy. He had a tough life. His dad left there home when he was young. He’s had a rough life! He’s a really great guy!! We’ll the cyber is closing early today, so I got to go! I love you so much! Have a great week!
I got a new greenie this week! I’m training! I’m so happy to be able to train because this last week we only went into the secteur twice for only 2 hrs. It’s going to be nice to be calling the shots and we are going to work so hard!! We’re going to a new temporary apartment today, then we go to a new apartment next week. It’s just going to be the two of us in the apartment and I don’t know how to cook, so it should be interesting. Hopefully my greenie knows how to cook. I don’t cook! I just do dishes. Haha! If he doesn’t know how we’ll learn together. He’s from Nigeria, but he grew up in Cote d’Ivoire. He seems like a cool guy. Thanks for all your prayers and fasting for me. I feel it. You guys rock! I need them because I’m a little stressed about training. It’ll be great, but I’m stressed. I know the Lord will bless me. I get to spend a lot of time with President. He’s so awesome! I love him so much! I see why he’s Alban’s best friend. They’re both so awesome! We’re going to a new apartment, but still in the same place. My old comp pretty much killed the work because he wouldn’t go out, so we have a lot of work to rebuild. The Lord is with us so it is in His hands!!! My comp is a good guy. How was your week? Mine was great! We had another baptism this week! It was such an awesome week!!! I hope mom hasn’t left for girl’s camp yet. I got my package this week! Thank you so much! I can’t download mom’s song though because my MP3 got a virus. I have no music!! It’s so boring without it!! 🙁 Please send me another one with lots of music! This week was nuts but soooo cool definitely the best week of my mission so far!!! My comp sends you a message. His English makes me laugh. It’s so cute! I love him so much. He’s so lazy, but I love working with him. He’s going to be my best friend forever! Wait until you hear about this week! I was basically a firefighter! An apartment in the building got set on fire!! I’m not sure if I’m going to be transferred. I don’t know i will see hahaha! I have been here for some time, but not terribly long! Today was so awesome! This morning we got invited to go to yapougon to play American football with a bunch of Americans it was sooooo dope!!!!!!!!!!! and then tomorrow we have zone conference!!! It’s awesome because Pres loves Americans hahahahahahahah! It is sooo great!!! His kids are studs. We played with them tooo today and we played soccer with President! It was dope!!! I played defense on him it was so funny he’s such a great guy!! I absolutely love him!!!!! Oh it was so cool! We saw the Red Moon and Lunar Eclipse!! It was sooo cool! I am just so happy! I am in heaven here!!! Oh ask Alban about fr medar the husband of sr accell he is coming here in a week president told me! so yeah get connected to him! Zach, I don’t know how to explain the food! It is hard to get used to but when you do you don’t want to eat anything else hahahahahaha its sooooo gooood!
Guess who emailed me?!!! Elder Wabunga, the missionary who got sent home!!! He’s such a good guy. He sent me a huge message! I really did love that guy! He said he hasn’t forgotten me, and he loves me tons and he misses me. He hopes the mission is good where I’m serving. It was cool! That whole experience was really hard but it humbled me. I was so prideful! I can’t be a servant of the Lord and have that pride. This mission has humbled me big time man! I have really come to realize what you guys do for us on a daily basis and I was just a punk teenager! You guys are my best friends. I have been so blessed to have you as my parents. Well I hope you all have a great week. I love you so much!
How was your week? Mine was great. I went to my favorite hospital to get a temporary filling in my tooth until they can fix it next week. Please pray it goes well. We give each other crap cuz he’s from Logan and I’m from Bingham haha He’s a super cool guy!!! I’m sure I’ll get your package at the next Zone Conference. So it hasn’t rained lately, which is nice but my comp is super lazy. We only went to the sector only once last week. Honestly I’m good with whatever the Lord wants hahhahah! Its aight though I’m staying strong! It’s tough because the secteur is pretty far from the apartment so its not like I can just walk out the door and talk to people but its okay it will change sooner or later hahaha! It’s ok though. I’ve really learned its all about the attitude. I’ve come to realize that big time here hahahaha You can be in a dump and it can be heaven if you make it that way! BTW, guess who’s with Elder Lukombe?! Elder Sorensen!!! At the same secteur as well!! Wow, I can’t believe how ripped Uncle Brad has gotten. What’s he doing? He’s a monster. I’ve been lifting the propane tank and what we have for weights and it has been doing good things for me that and push ups hahaha!!!! I’ll never be as buff as dad haha!! It was a great week, but I lost a filling. I talk about it in my recording. It kinda hurts, but oh well. Haha. The work is paying off! This has been such a hard secteur but I’ve beaten the beast!!!! hahaha! We have been having baptisms every week, and the Lord is blessing us so much!! The work is exploding! This work is the best! We had three more baptisms this week!!! It was so awesome! The Lord is so great! My new mission president is a stud! He wrote me and was super happy to hear we were baptizing and stuff! He’s super cool! He’s a great guy. He’s so full of the spirit! His wife is super nice too. She’s a little hard to read though. She’s pretty quiet haha . It’s still raining a lot. It rains like every other day here. I feel safe though. In fact, I feel grandpa all of the time. It’s why I feel so safe here! Well I say most of what is going on in my recording. Enjoy it. I had a great week! I explain it all in the recording! Tuesday we had district meeting with Pres and the new assistants. It was dope! He then took us all to the mall to get burger king and we chilled at the offices and they gave us orientation and stuff. This mission is so organized and just the best!!! Did you get the picture of me and my mission president from Alban? The pres has a brother close to our house, and he’s coming here soon! My mission president is a really cool guy. He’s just super down to earth man!! He’s just like all ivorians! They’re awesome! The president is such a stud! I also found out the secretary is this guy that was the second couselor when I was over at Gonzague. He was just over the other ward. He’s a total stud, and when he saw me he totally remembered me and my name!! Well I don’t have a lot of time this week. Have an awesome week! We’re baptizing like crazy! We baptized the family we’ve been teaching, and the next few weeks we have baptisms every week. I love you sooooo much!!! Have an awesome week!
Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!! 😘😘😘😘 Hope you had a great day! I’m feeling great! I made the move, but not really physically to the new mission. I haven’t met the mission president or the APs yet. Were kinda in the dark they were supposed to come change our phones to the new mission but i guess they’re doing it tomorrow or something. I did talked with Elder Dawson on the phone. He called us and was like welcome to the mission. He’s a stud I’m stoked to have him as an AP he’s Austin’s mt I’m not sure when we actually get to meet them hahahaha Its Africa nothing is organized lololololol!! It cracks me up!!! I bet it is all a mess I would hate to be the president right now hahahahaha! I’m really doing great though, but I am getting tired of getting called Chinese man! Because I’m white everyone thinks I’m Chinese. hahaha I don’t even look Chinese but it’s cuz the people here aren’t educated at all and they see a white man and think he’s Chinese cuz that’s all they see on tv is weird kung fu channels lololol! It’s been a crazy few months, but I’m doing good. I couldn’t do it without the Lord by my side. It’s the Lord that gives me the strength no question. I feel like it will be a good opportunity!! Did you ever talk to Alban about it?? Its super awesome I get to be a new missionary with a bunch of experience hahah its the best!! So we didn’t have water all week so I took one shower for the whole week. It was crazy. I talk about it in the recording. So that was not great. If you figure out how to send a package, can you please send me come candy like Skittles, Starburst Chews, and any other real American candy!! Also, the Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith. I’m a little worried about the new mission mom because I hear she’s a little cold shoulder to the missionaries not the big mama bear that mama binene is to the missionaries. At this point in my mission I don’t need a mama bear as much as I need a good mission president! I will just trust that the Lord will bless me with what I need. He’s is just so smart! Holy crap I’m going to kill African power!!!!!! hahahahhaha Aside from that how are you doing guys??? I’m still here didn’t get transferred so I’m going to the other mission! I feel like it will be a good experience. I’m excited for what will come! Bummed they didn’t change up my comp, but its okay its the revelation and that is a good point what Josh said about why I’m with him right now. I know I can help him be obedient and work hard. The new mission president really loves Americans so I’m happy about that. My mission president here really likes the Congoli’s. Hopefully Alban puts in a good word for me. Hahaha We didn’t do much because my comp was recovering from his sickness. Today was busy because we went to Adjahui to get some papers from fr Fahe cuz the mission is now just gonna do his wedding it should be the 5th of July I think! Pray it works out!!! I feel like the last eight months have prepared me to server in the West mission! Also, my comp is lots better! Have you sent a package and if not could you add the three books of doctrine of salvation by Joseph F. Smith? I go to the new mission the first of the month. I really do feel like it’s going to be a cool experience. I’m excited to work with the new President. I really think I’m going to love him! How’s Josh? I never hear from him and I’m way mad we got cut off last week hahaha I’ve been missing him a lot lately! He’s been on my mind a ton! He’s in my prayers! I pray for all of you all the time, and I feel your prayers too. BTW, there’s only one other American missionary going to the West mission with all the other missionaries in the Zone. There are only two Americans in our entire Zone. So I was reading in the New Testament and there is a part where Jesus’ mom and bro was looking for him and he was like who is looking for me my mom and brother is my disciples hahah like basically just focus on the work it was interesting! I’m just stoked to see what happens because I know the Lord knows so well what will happen and I’m excited to see. Don’t worry about me because I’m not worried at all. I know the president is inspired! I will get to see the family get married since I stayed in the area, which is a huge blessing because I was praying I could get to see it before I was transferred!!! They were the ones we went to see this morning it was quite the day hahahhahaha! It took like 3hrs to get to thee house cuz we got lost in the village hahahhahaha Yeah it will be so great!! It was so cool the spirit totally guided me to where to go! That happens all he time here its easy to get lost lol everything is like the same concrete and tin roofs lolol! We’re also getting home earlier cuz then I get to fill out the area book and stuff I’ve tried to keep it up to date ever since I’ve been here and I’ve done a good job hahaha Well, I love you guys sooooo much you guys are the best family ever!!!!!
