I’m so excited for Josh and Rachael!! The pictures were awesome! I’m so happy to have a sister! Yay!! So this week was great. We made cookies and I just continue to be the companionship cook. I’m gaining so much weight because I eat so well. Haha We’re teaching several people right now. I hope to grow this branch to a ward before I get transferred. Transfers are next month and I hope so much that I can stay with my companion. He’s SO awesome! Please pray for him though because he’s really struggling. His parents are getting a divorce. Well this week I don’t have much more to add. I love you all! Have a great week!
This week was absolutely amazing! My new companion is so awesome! He came from my zone and we were instant best friends. We are going to have so much success. It’s amazing to see how much the spirit relies on a close relationship. I have felt it so strong this week because we are constantly telling each other how much we love each other. It’s just so awesome! In my lessons this week I’ve been speaking perfect French! It’s totally the gift of tongues. My companion has let me teach in the lessons and actually take the lead. It’s been amazing to see the hand of the Lord guide me this week. I know I am going to learn so much from Elder Kimbembe. The other night I took my tie and tied it around my head and took a towel and made a cape and came running into the room where my comp was hanging out and he just started to die laughing. It was so funny. We just have so much fun together, which is wonderful since we are the only two elders in the apartment. The past 12 weeks have been very difficult at times, but I learned a lot. My goal is to baptize a ward since we have such few members here. We are already starting to see success. Please pray for us that we continue to baptize strong families! I love you so much!
It was another awesome week! I can’t believe today is my birthday. It doesn’t even feel like it. There’s no place I’d rather be than right here serving the Lord. Transfers are next week and my companion is getting transferred. I’m going to miss him. He’s been an amazing trainer and taught me a lot. Life is hard here, but I’m learning to love it. Talking to you guys every week makes it a lot easier. I miss you guys when I talk but seriously when I leave the cyber I don’t even think about you ever. It’s wonderful. The language continues to come and when I’m in lessons I’m able to speak perfectly. It truly is the gift of tongues. Well I love you all so much. Keep being awesome. Have a wonderful week.
Hey family, I am doing so great! This week flew by, and so has my mission! I can’t believe I have already been out for almost 4 months! I have realized out here that attitude is everything and I have seen Heavenly Fathers hand in my life more than ever. This week I had an awesome opportunity. My comp needed some new shoes. He has never owned a “nice” pair of shoes, so I figured I would get some for him. On Tuesday we stopped by this man who sells shoes on the streets. My comp tried some on and they were perfect, I used my bargaining skills to talk them down to a reasonable price haha. I am so excited because now we are going to start teaching this man! I’ve never seen my comp so happy haha I enjoyed watching his reaction! He just danced around the apartment in his shoes thanking me. I’m finishing my training this week and I get a new companion next week! Crazy! I’m so excited. Staying hand in hand with my Father in Heaven is key. He gives me the strength to push through! I love this gospel so much, it is so true! So ready for another week in the field!
This week was great! I went on a split with my ZL Friday and holy cow it was the best day out here on the mission! The spirit was so strong in the lessons, such a good day! Lessons are going great, we have 2 people preparing for baptism, one fr albert: 2 novembre, sr mardo: 09 novembre, french is still french lol Perseverance haha my comp and I are doing great, his birthday was Monday so I made dinner for him and just spoiled him a little haha I’m ready to keep working hard this next week!
This week was great, 3 months baby! We had zone conference on Thursday which was so awesome, i love my zone so much! and my mission president and his wife are freaking awesome! french is still kicking my butt but i love it out here! Sunday I actually had a super cool experience and i can testify that our father in heaven is in the details of our lives, on sunday, my comp and i were walking and all the sudden he turned to me and told me I’m contacting now and he went behind me and now i was the leader. a couple hours before this happened, the one thing i could understand in conference was to be confident and to know that I have the lord by my side, little did I know, 3hrs later id be the one to lead my comp, our father in heaven is just so amazing, anyways with confidence i started to lead us and i was led to this girl and her brother both in their 20s who listened to our message and are now one of our contacts, I know ill be taken care of and ill learn french as i continue to have confidence in the Lord and have faith. another week down and im so happy to be here teaching these humble people.
Here are my pics for the week, the first couple pics are of this African outfit i had made for me and then of course the Cameroon Veras i bought so dope! its the new 2019 jersey so cool, then some food we made with fufu and a little self and my bedroom lol. this last week was great i had to go to hospital for some health problems, but through faith and holding onto the Lord I’m doing great! we should have a baptism the 26 oct. which is so awesome because I’ve taught this guy from the beginning, my comp and i found him sept. 1 his name is Fr. Albert he’s so awesome he’s in like his 50s and he loves the gospel! my comp and i are doing great we keep working hard and slowly were seeing success. Cameroon is crazy its either super hot or monsoon rain haha gotta love Cameroon. Ready for another hard working week!
This was a GREAT week! I had my first baptism. I couldn’t believe she asked me to baptize her. It was so awesome. I still struggle with the language but I’m trying to keep positive and focused on all of my blessings! I also am learning to be a pretty good cook, so that’s a good thing! The picture of the lizard is one we see all over the place. Also, I had to kill another rat! HAHA! So I’m learning all kinds of life skills from patience to killing rodents. It’s all good! I love you all! Have a great week!
Love,
Elder LeBaron
