DECEMBER 25 , 2024 LOS AROMOS, QUILPUE (WEEK 11)

Wow this week was such a blast!!! We had Christmas parties, a concert Baptisms and many more miracles!!

– to start we had a Christmas evening focused on the navity and a Christmas concert which I performed in! It was so much fun! The song that I created they wanted us to make a video because they liked it a lot!!

– We had my first baptism!! It was so beautiful!!! We baptized 2 people the first one is Moises and the other is Alex! They’re the coolest people ever and are the best addition our branch!!!

– we had a miracle with a friend, her name is Isaura and she had nothing to do with our church until we gave her a blessing of health and she imidietly said after “I want to go to your church”! It was so cool!!!

– we had a lot of people come to church which was super awesome!!! Also the sister of Moises, the kid that got baptized wants to be baptized this Sunday!

– on Monday we made a video for the song that we performed and it was such a fun experience! It made me remember what it was like to be back home in the studio! It was super fun to see how I can share my talents that God gave me here!!

– Christmas Eve!!!! We gave this Pan de Pascua to this old buddy named Juan Carlos, he has no family or friends and is crippled, so we gave him his favorite bread in exchange for his cigarettes that he wants to stop smoking, and so we gave it to him and he wanted to exchange it! He was soooo happy!! Later in the day we went to this lady’s house for a big Zone dinner which was extremely fun!

– Christmas day, this day was pretty chill, we made an Asado which was sooo fun! We then just talked to family, chilled and played soccer!!

– We had an earthquake which was fun haha

This was basically my week! It was a lot of fun and went extremely fast! This work is the best and I can’t wait to see the miracles this next week!! I love yall and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 🎅🎄🥳🎁

DECEMBER 16 , 2024 LOS AROMOS, QUILPUE (WEEK 10)

This week was great! It went fast and was filled with miracles, which is every week!!! We found a lot of new kids that are interested in our church which is super fun because me and my comp have basically built the primary here which is super fun! But let me jump to some points from the week!

– this old Crack head had me touch is warm knee because he was walking a lot or something hahaha, still haven’t figured out why he made me do that but I guess we’ll never know hahah

– everyone here thinks that I’m Tom Holland hahaha

– yet another week where everyone and their dog is saying the N-word hahaha

– we finally found where this Crack head named Luis lives, and his buddy he was with kissed my comp on the head hahah he gave us a hug but when he did it to Elder Nelson he forcefully kissed his head hahahah I lost it! This dude is absolutely crazy! I’m convinced he’s from space!

– we found over 11 people in teaching this week! We’ve been working super hard here! Making sure we talk to everyone!

– Our baptism fell through 🫠! But it’s ok because he left to an unexpected trip to Valparaíso, so he said he will be baptized this next week which is super sweet!

– we did a huge light the world service project, and we cleaned up this lake that was filled with so many alcohol bottles, and I got alcohol ALL OVER ME! It smelt so bad hahah people on the micros were probably like, why is this gringo missionary drinking alcohol hahahaha

But that basically sus up the week! I’m super excited for next week because we have some Christmas parties which will be a blast! But anyways God is in the details of our lives and is always willingly to help! Just ask! But I love yall so much and can’t wait to share how my week went, in a week!!! Love yall!!

DECEMBER 9 , 2024 LOS AROMOS, QUILPUE (WEEK 9)

Wow how is it December already!!! My mind Is boggles! Anyways! We are working extremely hard here and I’m forgetting what day it is hahaha it’s awesome! My trainer is the best! His name is Elder Nelson! He plays football for BYU and he is a fetching maquina!!! But anyways we are finding a ton of people and they all have interest!! But let me jump into a few points from my week!

– Dylan and Camilo! These two dudes are the best! They’re brothers and are around 12 and 16 years old! They have a ton of friends that all play soccer and are gangsters or Flyté in Chile! They want to be baptized as well and all of their little buddy’s too! All of the little kids in the street love us because we just go and hype them up hahaha

– A DOG BIT ME!!! OK so this was crazy! We are walking into this house and as we do I had the impression to put my hand in my pocket so I did and right after I feel a bite and I’m like ow and I look down and this big dog bit me! I pulled out my hand and it was perfectly fine! MIRACLES! It was crazy!!!

– Leonardo and hid family! This guy was completely inactive and we started visiting his house but never cared to let us in! After a couple times he finally did and me and my companion just listened to him and all his problems! He then was like I have a grand daughter who’s not baptized and we’re like really?! He then introduced us to her and we started teaching her the lessons well fast forward a week or so and leonardo wants a blessing for work and health we then give him one and the next day we see him and he’s super super happy! He said “I GOT A JOB” and from that pont forward he’s attended church and his grand daughter will be baptized this week or the next! Crazy miracles!

– The N-word 🤦, so this word is like not a bad word here which is crazy! We go into a members house and they’re just saying it hahaha it’s kinda crazy but when I heard it I was so shocked I lost it laughing hahaha but yeah kinda crazy!

But yeah this was my week! It was a blast! We had a ton of miracles and are seeing God’s hand in our lives every day!

NOVEMBER 25 , 2024 LOS AROMOS, QUILPUE (WEEK 7)

Transfers!! This week was full of so much fun! It was extremely hot this week as well hahaha but anyways I’ll jump to the point and give some points from last week!

– Transfers! I got a new comp! His name is Elder Nelson and he is a wide receiver for BYU! He’s a stud and we are brothers now! President Trythall put us together because we are the 2 boldest Missionaries in the mission and so we are just going around telling people they need to be baptized and we’ve found over 42 people which is unheard of here in Los Aromos and we found them in a week! God is amazing! We just keep praying hard and searching for souls!

– It was extremely hot! We had some very very hot days this week that made me want to die hahah I was praying so hard I wouldn’t pass out hahah because we had to just hike up the mountain in the heat! I put FPS 50 on and I’m still getting so dark! I now feel like I’m really a true Santana now haha but anyways it was very very hot! 🥵

– Manjar soft serve! Holy cow I can’t even describe into words how glorious this ice cream was! It’s soft and heavenly! Idk if it was so good because I haven’t had soft serve in 3 months but man that was glorious! We saw people eating it and it was super hot outside and so we just took a little rest and got some amazing ice cream!

– Me and my comp met this new old lady and we’ve been teaching Her lessons, well we asked her to give the closing prayer and she finally said yes so we were listening to her prayer and she just says in the prayer “thank you for these Missionaries that bring a good spirit in my house full of evil spirits” and my comp and I look at each other and we’re like whelp we know what to do and so after she prayed I said can we leave a blessing on your house and get rid of those evil Spirits and she’s like YES PLEASE! So we did and you could feel peace in her home and it was really cool!

– Tomas! The tomas is a village in our Sector that is made made homes from people that migrated from Africa, Haiti, Venezuela, or Colombia, this is prime finding! We spent Sunday just going in there hitting a few people that have been in teaching and then just started talking to everyone! We left getting like 10-15 more people that are starting the lessons with us! Me and my comp just went to the super poor and just became their friends! Now whenever we go back all the little African kids come up to us and love us! Also me and my comp may learn some Criollo because it’s spoken a ton here!

– Girl wanted a kiss, so yeah basically we were talking to this 1 family in the tomas and this random 30-40 year old shakes my hand and starts to pull me in and says I just want a little kiss and I was like noooo and my comp was like noooooo and so I pulled back and was like sorry were Missionaries I’m very sorry but no we can’t do that hahahah it was quite weird!!!

Well this was my week! It was a blast! It went very very fast because we’ve been grinding here! I’m very excited for next week and sí o sí we will have 3 Baptisms!!! But anyways I love this work! We’ve had amazing miracles! God is amazing and is always there for each and every single one of us! If you don’t feel his love right now then maybe try tweaking your life so that you can feel his love! He’s always there to lift you up; you just have to look up to him and ask! 29 And now behold, I say unto you that the right way is to believe in Christ, and deny him not; and Christ is the Holy One of Israel; wherefore ye must bow down before him, and worship him with all your might, mind, and strength, and your whole soul; and if ye do this ye shall in nowise be cast out.

I love yall so much! Have an amazing week and I’ll talk in a week! ❤️❤️❤️🫡🦙🇨🇱🐕🌶🤙

February 17-March 29, 2020 Nsam, Cameroon (Week 2-6)

How has it been 5 weeks already? These last couple weeks have been incredible. We had five of our investigators baptised, two of them english speakers so I had to translate for them which was so amazing. We had to fill the baptismal font up with buckets because the water to the church turned off haha it was an experience for sure, but just like always the Lord helps you! Many members came to help us fill the font and after about an hour and a half, we got the font filled up high enough so we could kneel down to baptise them. This baptism was so beautiful and what was also so amazing is these investigators helped us fill the font where they would then be baptised, it was so cool and the spirit was so strong through this whole thing! We had zone conference which was wonderful! It’s always good to get together with all the elders and our mission President. Elder Nelson and I are having so much fun serving together, we absolutely love these people here in Nsam! I got my first package from home which was so awesome! it was nice to get some things from my family! Ive been rocking only one pair of shoes these last couple months because my last ones broke so it was nice to receive another pair in the package! Life is amazing here in Cameroun, I absolutely love these people! my french keeps getting better and better each day thanks to my Father in Heaven! I know without a doubt if you ask God for help he will always be there to help! I love you all, thank you for all your prayers!
