How was your week? Mine was great! We had another baptism this week! It was such an awesome week!!! I hope mom hasn’t left for girl’s camp yet. I got my package this week! Thank you so much! I can’t download mom’s song though because my MP3 got a virus. I have no music!! It’s so boring without it!! 🙁 Please send me another one with lots of music! This week was nuts but soooo cool definitely the best week of my mission so far!!! My comp sends you a message. His English makes me laugh. It’s so cute! I love him so much. He’s so lazy, but I love working with him. He’s going to be my best friend forever! Wait until you hear about this week! I was basically a firefighter! An apartment in the building got set on fire!! I’m not sure if I’m going to be transferred. I don’t know i will see hahaha! I have been here for some time, but not terribly long! Today was so awesome! This morning we got invited to go to yapougon to play American football with a bunch of Americans it was sooooo dope!!!!!!!!!!! and then tomorrow we have zone conference!!! It’s awesome because Pres loves Americans hahahahahahahah! It is sooo great!!! His kids are studs. We played with them tooo today and we played soccer with President! It was dope!!! I played defense on him it was so funny he’s such a great guy!! I absolutely love him!!!!! Oh it was so cool! We saw the Red Moon and Lunar Eclipse!! It was sooo cool! I am just so happy! I am in heaven here!!! Oh ask Alban about fr medar the husband of sr accell he is coming here in a week president told me! so yeah get connected to him! Zach, I don’t know how to explain the food! It is hard to get used to but when you do you don’t want to eat anything else hahahahahaha its sooooo gooood!
Guess who emailed me?!!! Elder Wabunga, the missionary who got sent home!!! He’s such a good guy. He sent me a huge message! I really did love that guy! He said he hasn’t forgotten me, and he loves me tons and he misses me. He hopes the mission is good where I’m serving. It was cool! That whole experience was really hard but it humbled me. I was so prideful! I can’t be a servant of the Lord and have that pride. This mission has humbled me big time man! I have really come to realize what you guys do for us on a daily basis and I was just a punk teenager! You guys are my best friends. I have been so blessed to have you as my parents. How was your week? Mine was great. I went to my favorite hospital to get a temporary filling in my tooth until they can fix it next week. Please pray it goes well. So AP Elder Dawson got a package from the President’s brother?? I still haven’t got one. Sniff…sniff…hope it gets here soon! 🙁 I’ll ask him how he did that because President’s brother lives way close to you guys. I guess he comes here every three months or so. He’s a total stud! We give each other crap cuz he’s from Logan and I’m from Bingham haha He’s a super cool guy!!! I’m sure I’ll get your package at the next Zone Conference. So it hasn’t rained lately, which is nice but my comp is super lazy. We only went to the sector only once last week. Honestly I’m good with whatever the Lord wants hahhahah! Its aight though I’m staying strong! It’s tough because the secteur is pretty far from the apartment so its not like I can just walk out the door and talk to people but its okay it will change sooner or later hahaha! It’s ok though. I’ve really learned its all about the attitude. I’ve come to realize that big time here hahahaha You can be in a dump and it can be heaven if you make it that way! BTW, guess who’s with Elder Lukombe?! Elder Sorensen!!! At the same secteur as well!! Wow, I can’t believe how ripped Uncle Brad has gotten. What’s he doing? He’s a monster. I’ve been lifting the propane tank and what we have for weights and it has been doing good things for me that and push ups hahaha!!!! I’ll never be as buff as dad haha!! It was a great week, but I lost a filling. I talk about it in my recording. It kinda hurts, but oh well. Haha. The work is paying off! This has been such a hard secteur but I’ve beaten the beast!!!! hahaha! We have been having baptisms every week, and the Lord is blessing us so much!! The work is exploding! This work is the best! We had three more baptisms this week!!! It was so awesome! The Lord is so great! My new mission president is a stud! He wrote me and was super happy to hear we were baptizing and stuff! He’s super cool! He’s a great guy. He’s so full of the spirit! His wife is super nice too. She’s a little hard to read though. She’s pretty quiet haha . It’s still raining a lot. It rains like every other day here. I feel safe though. In fact, I feel grandpa all of the time. It’s why I feel so safe here! Well I say most of what is going on in my recording. Enjoy it. I had a great week! I explain it all in the recording! Tuesday we had district meeting with Pres and the new assistants. It was dope! He then took us all to the mall to get burger king and we chilled at the offices and they gave us orientation and stuff. This mission is so organized and just the best!!! Did you get the picture of me and my mission president from Alban? The pres has a brother close to our house, and he’s coming here soon! My mission president is a really cool guy. He’s just super down to earth man!! He’s just like all ivorians! They’re awesome! The president is such a stud! I also found out the secretary is this guy that was the second couselor when I was over at Gonzague. He was just over the other ward. He’s a total stud, and when he saw me he totally remembered me and my name!! Well I don’t have a lot of time this week. Have an awesome week! We’re baptizing like crazy! We baptized the family we’ve been teaching, and the next few weeks we have baptisms every week. I love you sooooo much!!! Have an awesome week!
Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!! 😘😘😘😘 Hope you had a great day! I’m feeling great! I made the move, but not really physically to the new mission. I haven’t met the mission president or the APs yet. Were kinda in the dark they were supposed to come change our phones to the new mission but i guess they’re doing it tomorrow or something. I did talked with Elder Dawson on the phone. He called us and was like welcome to the mission. He’s a stud I’m stoked to have him as an AP he’s Austin’s mt I’m not sure when we actually get to meet them hahahaha Its Africa nothing is organized lololololol!! It cracks me up!!! I bet it is all a mess I would hate to be the president right now hahahahaha! I’m really doing great though, but I am getting tired of getting called Chinese man! Because I’m white everyone thinks I’m Chinese. hahaha I don’t even look Chinese but it’s cuz the people here aren’t educated at all and they see a white man and think he’s Chinese cuz that’s all they see on tv is weird kung fu channels lololol! It’s been a crazy few months, but I’m doing good. I couldn’t do it without the Lord by my side. It’s the Lord that gives me the strength no question. I feel like it will be a good opportunity!! Did you ever talk to Alban about it?? Its super awesome I get to be a new missionary with a bunch of experience hahah its the best!! So we didn’t have water all week so I took one shower for the whole week. It was crazy. I talk about it in the recording. So that was not great. If you figure out how to send a package, can you please send me come candy like Skittles, Starburst Chews, and any other real American candy!! Also, the Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith. I’m a little worried about the new mission mom because I hear she’s a little cold shoulder to the missionaries not the big mama bear that mama binene is to the missionaries. At this point in my mission I don’t need a mama bear as much as I need a good mission president! I will just trust that the Lord will bless me with what I need. He’s is just so smart! Holy crap I’m going to kill African power!!!!!! hahahahhaha Aside from that how are you doing guys??? I’m still here didn’t get transferred so I’m going to the other mission! I feel like it will be a good experience. I’m excited for what will come! Bummed they didn’t change up my comp, but its okay its the revelation and that is a good point what Josh said about why I’m with him right now. I know I can help him be obedient and work hard. The new mission president really loves Americans so I’m happy about that. My mission president here really likes the Congoli’s. Hopefully Alban puts in a good word for me. Hahaha We didn’t do much because my comp was recovering from his sickness. Today was busy because we went to Adjahui to get some papers from fr Fahe cuz the mission is now just gonna do his wedding it should be the 5th of July I think! Pray it works out!!! I feel like the last eight months have prepared me to server in the West mission! Also, my comp is lots better! Have you sent a package and if not could you add the three books of doctrine of salvation by Joseph F. Smith? I go to the new mission the first of the month. I really do feel like it’s going to be a cool experience. I’m excited to work with the new President. I really think I’m going to love him! How’s Josh? I never hear from him and I’m way mad we got cut off last week hahaha I’ve been missing him a lot lately! He’s been on my mind a ton! He’s in my prayers! I pray for all of you all the time, and I feel your prayers too. BTW, there’s only one other American missionary going to the West mission with all the other missionaries in the Zone. There are only two Americans in our entire Zone. So I was reading in the New Testament and there is a part where Jesus’ mom and bro was looking for him and he was like who is looking for me my mom and brother is my disciples hahah like basically just focus on the work it was interesting! I’m just stoked to see what happens because I know the Lord knows so well what will happen and I’m excited to see. Don’t worry about me because I’m not worried at all. I know the president is inspired! I will get to see the family get married since I stayed in the area, which is a huge blessing because I was praying I could get to see it before I was transferred!!! They were the ones we went to see this morning it was quite the day hahahhahaha! It took like 3hrs to get to thee house cuz we got lost in the village hahahhahaha Yeah it will be so great!! It was so cool the spirit totally guided me to where to go! That happens all he time here its easy to get lost lol everything is like the same concrete and tin roofs lolol! We’re also getting home earlier cuz then I get to fill out the area book and stuff I’ve tried to keep it up to date ever since I’ve been here and I’ve done a good job hahaha Well, I love you guys sooooo much you guys are the best family ever!!!!! In case you were wondering I’m actually alive! It’s my comp whose dying, but he’s doing way better!!!!!! Sorry I didn’t connect with you yesterday, but my comp has been really sick. I bet its awesome to be back in America. It looked and sounded like quite the trip man!!!!! I sure hope me not writing yesterday didn’t give you a heart attack! Haha Sleeping on the hard tile floor the past couple of nights in the hospital was the best hahaha!! Yeah it was nuts! I’m just glad my comp is doing better! All my bros wrote me so that was nice!!! The best part of the week was going to the mall yesterday to eat a burger!!!
Its been too long since I had one. I got the biggest one and a giant thing of fries and a coke and ate it all hahah I was pretty impressed with myself hahahahaha! Yeah I miss fast food!! I also got to sit and talk to my first bishop. He’s such as stud! He and I are way close. He came to the hospital to be with us because the assistances didn’t have time and he works for the mission so he was just supposed to come and drop off the 5000 fcfa but then he just was like lets just go to Burger King! He said you’ll like that way better than the food here at the hospital. It was awesome…he’s such a stud!!!! Elder Boyemba is a good guy. He’s just kinda tired of the mission and is ready to go home! I just try my best to motivate him and stuff! Its how it is here! 80 percent do 20 percent of the work and 20 percent do 80 percent of the work hahahahaha
I got to talk with President Binene a lot more this week because we were at the hospital and stuff but I talked with mama Binéné more than president hahaha Good thing my health is rock solid. The Lord is really blessing me. It’s tough we’re not working, but I’m getting a ton of studying done and my testimony is growing. I’ll have my turn soon to work the butt off my future comps!! So we found out this guy that was supposed to send the papers for the wedding never even sent them and just gave them back to Fr Fahe so that was frustrating cuz he was planning to just give out himself last month but ohhh well it works out cuz I just bought them a nice pair of scriptures and a hymn book! I love they’re family hahahahaha! They are no question one of the people I knew before this life just like family Brou and fr Siée . Hopefully next week he can go to the village this week cuz of his work but next Monday he is gonna head to the village do it in a day and most likely the wedding will be soon after!! Please pray that it all works out! He said you have to send the papers like 10 days before you want to have the wedding so it will be in the next few weeks! Its so awesome they’re getting married!!! Thats why I don’t want to leave!! Its in the Lords hands though! I’ve been with them since the beginning of their lessons. I was there the very first lesson they had with the missionaries. It’s been a super great experience! I love seeing the change!! It just strengthens my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel!! It’s really been a highlight of my mission so far! This place has been crazy but also one of my favorite secteurs so far. But I know if the Lord needs me in the West mission that’s where I will go! Its been great. It has been so freakin hard, but so awesome because I’ve grown a lot. I really feel so close to the Lord and its awesome! I am really feeling I’m going to the West mission. Well we will see soon. It was a good week! My new comp is a good guy! Sadly, President doesn’t like him very much, and like he just got busted for a phone. I hate the problem of cell phones here! I get along with him, but its hard to tell really after a week. Typically, after like two weeks you can tell pretty good how the guy works! Unfortunately, he sleeps a lot and plays on the phone but we go to the secteur when we have rendez opus haha! Good news is I was really good this week. It’s hard because no one else in the apartment gets up on time, but I did! 🙂 Its kinda rough cuz like I’m like all alone in the morning and it makes time go so much slower lol but other than that its good I have a lot of time to study which is great!! I’ve been talking with Ologundudu and he told me this guy has a bad history with president and like girls a lot so yeah we will see how it goes hahaha Yeah its not easy but it will get better! The mission was like on fast forward up till now lol Its started to slow down a bit. I figured it would slow up eventually lol! Yeah I figured it was going to be like this at some point, but it is gonna help me get even stronger which is good!! My comp goes home in 3 months lol! I’m in an apartment with all french speakers so my french will only get better from here haha! They’re all pretty lazy, but don’t worry if anything I will change them hahahahahaha! They’re all pretty scared of me after what happened to my comp who got sent home. We will see! We’re all still new give it like 2 weeks and their real character will come out! haha Our investigators are progressing, but the problem is just getting them to church! With time hopefully they will come! The Lord and power of prayer will help!!! The Lord is there in the small things!!! He is so awesome! Today has been fun. I’ve just washed my clothes and cleaned the apartment. haha It was a party I put too much soap and wrecked my hands lololol!!! The soap is this super strong stuff I soak it in and then a bar I use to wash with, and I put too much of the soap I soak it in so it wrecked my hands haha So I’m getting transferred to the new mission on July 1st. Our entire zone is moving to the West mission. I’m scared because I don’t want to change everything I’ve ever known about the mission is here I will be like a new missionary over there all my friends are here hahahaha I’m not worried though because its in the Lords hands man!!! I know it will all work out great. All I can control is me! Good thing is my French is coming!! It will only improve with time!! I hope I get to sing in the new mission because I love singing!! I love listening to mom singing!!! You guys should record a bunch and send it to me hahhahaha yeah just a few appointments and stuff just the usual hahah! Missionary work is getting better we have more investigators. They just don’t go to church hahaha! Tonight we have FHE with another family. Our WML set it up. He’s awesome!
