Hey Family,
The power of prayer is real! I have been praying so hard for you and the Lord answered my prayer and protected all of you! I can’t believe you guys almost all died on your trip home from Denver! I thank the Lord he protected you!!! So I’m in a new area called Porbouet. It’s in the same Zone as the mission office. It’s so much nicer here because we have paved roads, running water, and a SHOWER!! haha My new comp’s name is Elder Dikebele from the Congo. He’s been out a little over a year! He was in the MTC with Wabunga and they are really close. It’s so cool you guys are going to Paris soon! I can’t wait to see pics. We will have to go there when I get back! I was worried at first that it would be weird with my companion since he’s good friends with Wabunga, but I just don’t let it be weird. I just pray he doesn’t try anything with me, but I’m not worried. I just told him this is in the past and we have a work to do so I don’t want to talk about it and he seemed ok with that answer. He’s a great guy and super funny. I’m also with Elder Austin from the East Coast and he and his companion are the Zone Leaders so it’s super fun! It’s a party!! He went to BYU before his mission. He’s awesome! He was also in the MTC with Wabunga. All of the Elders in my apartment are awesome. I got a blessing from Elder Austin because I think I may have tapeworms. In my blessing I was told the Lord knows exactly what I’m going through right now and that it is for my benefit! The doctors checked and they found nothing, so its weird but its okay I will get it fixed. I also fasted yesterday for it as well. Thank you for your prayers too. 🙂 The Lord has been helping me in so many ways more than you will ever know haha! He has showed me all of my weaknesses and has helped me make them strengths! The Lord has humbled me so much I am so happy for this amazing experience I’ve had!! I didn’t realize it until after the transfer I look back and see how the Lord has helped me without me even knowing it! It’s been such a great blessing!! I’m just glad its not over yet!! I’m going to just stay obedient though cuz I’ve come to realize that 12 baptisms in a month isnt easy to do here haha I thought it was just normal, but it’s because of our hard work and obedience. I’m planning to get 10 this next month too! I think it is possible. We take this super sketchy boat to a village where we’re teaching a lot of investigators, but its so dope! You can see the picture of the boat below. Also, my retainer got messed up so Elder Austin had to help me! Well I love you so much! Have a great week!!!
Love,
Elder LeBaron
