January 3, 2018 Dad Post

Tyler is with two French speakers in a threesome. He can’t communicate with his mission president yet because he doesn’t speak English. He’s in an apt that doesn’t have power and sketchy water. His two comps are not very obedient either, and don’t want much to do with Him, and aren’t letting him email home on P-day. He could use your prayers! He said he’s ready to give up! So hard to be a parent in this situation. It’s certainly brought us to our knees! Please join us in fasting and prayer this Sunday for him! He’s tough, but could use a little help! Thank you!

  1. Hey Tyler! I’m so sorry that things are so tough right now, but never forget that God gives his toughest battles to his strongest warriors!! I’m so proud of you, and I can’t begin to imagine how proud your family and Heavenly Father are of you! I know that you know everything happens for a reason, and God has great plans to grow you, but sometimes that hurts! I hope that you can feel the Saviors love and your family’s love now more than ever. I sure felt your family’s hearts feeling for you in the blog this week! Although it’s never fun going through trials or hurting, I wouldn’t trade any of the pain I’ve ever felt because those are the times that I’ve felt the closest to Jesus. Those are the times that gave me certain knowledge that He felt not only my sins but everything else I go through in the garden of gethsemane (Alma 7:11-13). And He loves us so much that He feels it all over again with us while we go through it! So I’m glad you know that you’re not alone and hope you draw strength from that, and gain a testimony of that you’ll never be able to deny! I know you were call by a prophet of God, through revelation, and that there are people there who need YOU to share the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with them! One time I asked my angel of a trainer, if she had hard companions. She’d had some disobedient ones, and she said not really, she didn’t mind having tough companions because in those times she just put her head down and went to work and saw miracles and grew! She is a saint and I know that’s easier said than done, but I know you can do the same thing!! Sending love and prayers from West Virginia! Keep pushing!
